ASAP STAR systems offer immediate, precise, and dependable takeoff/landing performance (runway analysis) and weight & balance data. With airport data and surveillance for over 20,000 runways worldwide, STAR's airport database provides analysis even in the most remote locations. Automated monthly data updates ensure that the system consistently uses the most up-to-date information.

The Flight Management screen functions as the central hub for the STAR systems. Operators commence a flight by inputting essential flight information like flight number, aircraft, flight date, and departure, arrival, and alternate airports. Moving on to the dedicated Weight & Balance or Runway Analysis screens allows operators to input specific information and carry out calculations. All crucial results are then relayed back to the Flight Management screen, giving operators a comprehensive overview of all necessary takeoff information.

The STAR systems eliminate the need for guesswork in critical weight & balance calculations. The intuitive Weight & Balance screen enables operators to swiftly and accurately conduct all required calculations while ensuring all loading limits are adhered to. Takeoff weight, CG, and trim tab settings are immediately available with exceptional accuracy.

Through the Runway Analysis screen, the STAR system generates maximum performance weights tailored to actual atmospheric, runway, and aircraft conditions. By calculating for a single set of conditions, payload optimization can be achieved without compromising safety. Operators can readily compare maximum takeoff weights for various runways and select a specific runway to access other critical data like power settings, V-speeds, stabilizer settings, and more.

STAR also grants operators the capability to create their own NOTAM shortened runway—an intuitive feature enabling instant, last-minute calculations for changes in airport data. This feature eradicates the rush involved in obtaining last-minute and shortened takeoff/landing performance details, which could lead to possible flight delays and emergency fees. STAR serves as a comprehensive stand-alone solution for takeoff/landing performance.

The STAR benefits become evident almost instantly to users due to the ease of operation and quick data calculations. However, the most significant advantage emerges in the long run—the cost savings that STAR delivers to your operations. A major air cargo operation predicted an annual saving of over $2,000,000 specifically through increased fuel efficiency resulting from the performance optimization provided by STAR.
